Mediation in Geneva
Family and neighbourhood mediation services
Mediation allows people in conflict to look for a solution themselves, with the help of a neutral and impartial third party: the mediator. In a separation or divorce, it helps in particular to reach agreement on the children, housing and financial matters, often more quickly and at lower cost than contentious proceedings.
Costs covered: since 1 January 2024, the Geneva judiciary has covered, under the conditions set by the law on mediation, up to 7.5 hours of mediation, renewable up to three times. Ask the service you choose, or see the website of the Geneva judiciary (new tab).
